There is meaning hidden in the small changes of everyday life, and wisdom to be found in the shards of your most broken moments. At the end of the dark night of the soul is the beginning of a new life. –Elizabeth Lesser in “Broken Open”
A poem written a while back. Thought I'd share:
Burn away my anger,
Cremate my hatred,
Disperse the ashes of my drawn out indifference
Embalm the secrets of my heart
For there you will find the purity of my longing
To belong-
To love-
To live-
To breath-
In each moment
As each moment is.
Burn away my attachment,
Burn away my expectations,
Embalm the secrets of my heart.
The poem is quite apt, though it would have been more suitable had the image been B&W, to be consistent with the poem. Renovations do make you feel burned out sometimes.
